The film was a major hit for Blumhouse, and Five Nights at Freddy's 2 is now confirmed to be on the way with a release date set for next year.

During a recent interview on the JayBee & Milly YouTube channel, Lillard is asked a separate question about his willingness to return for a future Scooby-Doo movie, but he reveals when production gets underway for Five Nights at Freddy's 2 during his answer.
