Though Kong may no longer be Trapper's client, there are still plenty of Titans in need of veterinarian assistance.
Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire's ending leaves plenty of room for Stevens to return to the Monsterverse. After the leading Titans defeated the Skar King's plot, Trapper returned to the surface with the crew once the world had been rescued. Furthermore, the franchise has been consistent with bringing back the core human cast ever since 2014's Godzilla premiered, with actors such as Ken Watanabe, David Straithhairn, Milly Bobby Brown, Kyle Chandler, Brian Tyree Henry, and Kaylee Hottle reprising their roles across multiple movies. However, changes in creativity may see certain shifts.

With Godzilla x Kong leaving a new status quo for Kong within the Hollow Earth and Godzilla returning to the surface to rest as its guardian in waiting, the movie left each titan in a place where each of their arcs may feel resolved. As such, Sputore may want to begin a new arc for the Monsterverse, crafting his own cast of recurring humans to focus on. While this may see Trapper not appear in a theatrical installment, Monarch: Legacy of Monster's success could see the character branch off into that series.
Trapper is a great addition to the human side of the franchise following his introduction in Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire. Not only does his career provide fun world-building, but his presence also adds levity to the series that typically showcases destruction. Though Kong may no longer be Trapper's client, there are still plenty of Titans in need of veterinarian assistance.
