How To Boost Your Stats In Dungeons Of Hinterberg

To boost Stats in Dungeons of Hinterberg, players need to take a more wholesome approach to character progression. Even if defeating monsters and clearing dungeons are big focus points in the game, they are only one side of protagonist Luisa's Alpine vacation. Making new friends, socializing, doing activities, and taking relaxing breaks are all just as important for raising Stats in Dungeons of Hinterberg.

Luisa has several different Stats divided into two broad groups: Social Stats and Combat Stats. Broadly speaking, Luisa can boost her four Social Stats by tackling dungeons and activities and spending time with the good folk of Hinterberg. To raise her Combat Stats, she will need to find and equip better gear. However, there is some overlap between activities.

Luisa's Social Stats reflect how she's using her vacation time to escape the burnout that drove her to visit Hinterberg. There are many ways to increase Social Stats, and players must pick the right activities to strike the right balance between exploring and socializing.

By hanging out with each of Dungeons of Hinterberg's 16 NPCs in the evenings, players can increase one or more Social Stats at once. For example, if Luisa chooses to spend the evening hanging out with Marina at the ice cream stand, this activity boosts her Amusement stat. In contrast, hanging out with Klaus increases her Familiarity, reflecting how she spent the time becoming more familiar with Hinterberg.

Hanging out with NPCs and giving them gifts also allows Luisa to develop her relationships with them, unlocking new friendship perks. This includes unlocking new HP and MP slots, as well as other useful items and even useful features such as Photo Mode.

Similarly, Luisa can also raise both Social Stats and combat Stats by enjoying solo activities:

Visiting Hinterberg's Spa increases both Relaxation and HP.

Visiting Hinterberg's Campfire increases all four social stats by a small amount, but it also improves Luisa's relationships with the NPCs who happen to visit the campfire that evening.

Visiting Hinterberg's Boat Rental increases Relaxation, Physical Attack and Magical Attack

Visiting Hinterberg's Cinema increases different Stats based on what movie is being shown.

Luisa can also stay in her hotel room and read to increase Familiarity or watch TV to increase Amusement. However, this cuts her HP and MP down by 25% the following day.

Finally, there are also opportunities to increase Social Stats outside Hinterberg. Defeating enemies and completing dungeons increases Luisa's Renown. Zelda fans should feel at home here, as dungeons all feature bosses and intricate puzzles that must be solved with magic powers.

However, Luisa can also spend her time relaxing at Scenic Spots in each region. Depending on the region, this increases Relaxation, Health, and Magical Defence. As such, players must take a broad approach and ensure that Luisa's time in Hinterberg is filled with diverse activities to improve her Stats.

Crucially, completing any activity causes time to advance, so players need some vacation organisation skills. This includes prepping gear and buying items the night before.

Some NPCs in Dungeons of Hinterberg won't interact with Luisa unless she has a level high enough for a specific Stat.

How To Raise Combat Stats

Increase HP, MP, Physical/Magical Attack, And Physical/Magical Defence

Many of the social activities listed above also increase Combat Stats; visiting the Spa will also raise Luisa's HP, for instance. However, players can also increase Luisa's Combat Stats by finding and equipping higher-quality weapons and armor for dungeon crawling. Players looking for a great Zelda-inspired game will find Dungeons of Hinterberg's gear mechanics familiar enough.

Gear can be bought with Hinterbucks at the various stores in Hinterberg, but NPCs will also provide a few of their own unique gear items if Luisa's relationship with them is good enough.

As such, there are many different ways for players to increase and boost Stats in Dungeons of Hinterberg. The key is to adopt a more holistic approach, balancing dungeon-crawling excitement with socializing and relaxing out in nature to help Luisa have a well-balanced and enjoyable vacation.
