How To Farm Acid In Once Human

How To Farm Acid In Once Human

Ammunition for your weapons can be scarce in Once Human, so you must farm crafting materials like Acid to make enough bullets to survive in a hostile world. While you can get Acid from killing enemies, you only get a small amount from rare drops. You'll have to look for other ways to collect this important item to have enough ammo to challenge greater threats along your journey.

If you are focused on taking down enemies to farm Acid, try to move your base in Once Human closer to where Gnawer Deviants spawn. These enemies always tend to drop a little bit of Acid when they die, but never in large amounts. However, you can consume items to increase the quantity of Acid loot dropped by enemies temporarily when you have no other farming options.

Best Ways To Farm Acid

Use Character Permissions And Refine Lesser Materials

One of the best ways to farm Acid in Once Human is to harvest it at production point events scattered throughout your map. As you visit different factories or refineries throughout the world, you may notice production machines ready to be used in these locations. When you have the right Access Cards or Permits, you can activate production devices to produce several items, which usually include a large amount of Acid.

While production points take time to make different items, you have to defend the machine from waves of enemies. Since some of these enemies can drop Acid too, these are great events to pursue for multiple instances of dropped Acid.

Driving around the world on a vehicle like the Motorcycle in Once Human will let you find a variety of other crating machines similar to production points. While these are not events guaranteed to make Acid, some devices could craft the item you want through random luck. For example, an Advanced Synthesis Bench you come across could make Acid, but only if your character has the right Specialization to use it.

Another useful method for farming Acid comes from finding a way to harvest Stardust, an item that can be refined into the material you want. Although you can only really farm Stardust when you take control of Oil Refineries in the late game, you'll need Acid for ammo no matter how much progress you've made. Since Acid is never among the treasure items found in Once Human, your best bet is to refine it from unlikely sources.

Best Locations For Farming Acid

Search For Areas With Polluted Water

One of the most underrated ways to farm Acid is to refine polluted water to produce a less refined version of the material called Impure Acid. Any Impure Acid you make can easily be converted into regular Acid at your base, so this strategy is simple despite how long it may take. This process also produces the most amount of Acid out of the other strategies mentioned in Once Human.

Here are some of the best spots to start refining polluted water into Impure Acid:

Location Region Recommended Level Estimated Acid Yield Brookham Northern Wetlands Level 8 60–200 Acids per hour High Banks Broken Delta Level 14 80–200 Acids per hour Holt Town Chalk Town Level 30 200–300 Acids per hour

Brookham is a great area for the early game, allowing you to farm Acid without much worry about enemies in the region. Some dangerous foes do appear here, but they won't be a huge problem if you keep your distance. For the other two locations, you need to have decent weapons or gear to travel within that space, to both safeguard your character from enemies and keep your polluted water farms intact.

Having special companions at your side, like the Butterfly in Once Human, will help you deal with crowds of enemies. This should let your character move throughout regions uninterrupted as you search for the best spots for polluted water farming.

Moving your base to any of the listed locations can help you make Acid farming your top priority whenever you get low on ammo. Once you have successfully farmed enough Acid in Once Human, you should consider harvesting a surplus so you do not have to worry about running out of ammunition materials for a long time.
