Inventive Baldur's Gate 3 Gale Cosplay Reveals The Wizard In An Entirely New Light
Summary Reddit user emilyamarokk reimagined Gale from Baldur's Gate 3 in a fresh gender-bent cosplay.
The impressive cosplay has handmade robes and even recreates smaller details of Gale's design.
Gale, a popular romance option, has a divisive ending where players can help or turn him into a god.
Baldur's Gate 3 players seem to really love or hate the wizard from Waterdeep. While Gale is a fairly popular romance option for players of the popular turn-based RPG, he's a character who frequently finds himself in need of assistance during battle before his build has been properly fleshed out. That said, his iconic earring and purple robes have made him a fan-favorite to cosplay, and one Reddit user took a unique spin on the wizard's look.
Reddit user emilyamarokk shared a couple of photos of their "Fem Gale Cosplay," depicting the wizard in a gender-bent light. As is the case with wizards in-game, Fem Gale is still wearing the same purple robes with leather cuffs, pants, and boots. In the post, Gale's signature earring commemorating Mystra is still proudly on display, as is his eyebrow slit.
What's more impressive about the cosplay than emilyamarokk's ability to seamlessly offer a fresh take on a well-done character is that the whole outfit was made by the cosplayer themselves. "Full robe, leather accessories and staff made by me!" they proudly proclaim in the post's description. The cosplay's accuracy, added to by the large tome they're holding, makes it a successful take on the witty wizard.

Gale Has One Of The Most Divisive Endings In Baldur's Gate 3
Players Can Help Him Remove The Orb Or Turn Him Into A God
Immediately after pulling Gale out of the waypoint portal at the Roadside Cliffs, he becomes one of the most flirty companions players will encounter, except for maybe Halsin. Larian Studios initially blamed his persistent romantic pursuits on a bug in the game, where the wizard would continue to initiate romance scenes with Tav despite being turned down multiple times. Still, even if players don't romance him, he's filled with some coy and hilarious dialogue.
Players who navigate through his personal questline will be presented with a couple of options to either help him out or destroy him. They can let Gale follow the instructions of his former lover and mentor, Mystra, and blow himself up, using the Netherese Orb embedded in his chest to take out the Netherbrain; or they can help turn him into a god with the Crown of Karsus, granting him the power he sought when he originally took in a piece of the Weave.
Alternatively, players who help Gale remove the Netherese Orb without letting him ascend to the power of a god will unlock probably the most wholesome ending for the wizard in Baldur's Gate 3. The decidedly neutral ending for Gale will leave him free of the Netherese Orb's power and free him from his ties with Mystra, essentially leaving him to live happily ever after with the Tav he romanced.
