"Venom's In Good Hands Now": Marvel's New Venom Officially Debuts, as [SPOILER] Steals the Symbiote

Warning! Contains spoilers for Venom War #1!

Summary Spider-Man becomes the new host of the Venom symbiote in Venom War #1, much to the dismay of Eddie and Dylan Brock.

The symbiote idolizes Peter Parker as its favorite host due to his desire to use its power for good.

Both Eddie and Dylan have dark futures as Venom, making Peter the best option to bring out the symbiote's best qualities.

The Venom symbiote has had a ton of hosts over the years, and as a giant war breaks out over who gets to be the next Venom host, a fan-favorite character seems to be the answer. As Eddie and Dylan Brock squabble over who gets to have the Venom symbiote, it's Spider-Man who ends up wearing it.

The battle over the symbiote officially kicks off in Venom War #1 by Al Ewing, Iban Coello, Frank D'Armata and Ariana Maher. Both Dylan and Eddie Brock believe that the world will end if the other gets the Venom symbiote. This nearly leads to a full-on fight between Eddie and his son, before Spider-Man shows up with the Venom symbiote, showing that he's the new host.

Out of all the hosts that the Venom symbiote has had, Peter Parker has always been its favorite. It makes perfect sense that, in this moment of turmoil that the Venom symbiote is going through, it would return to its favorite host. However, Eddie and Dylan might not be as happy to see Peter back in the iconic black suit.

The Venom Symbiote Idolizes Peter Parker

Venom War #1 by Al Ewing, Iban Coello, Frank D'Armata, Ariana Maher

One of the major things about the Venom symbiote is that it truly wants to be good. It doesn't want to cause death and destruction, but more often than not, that's what people use it for. Eddie Brock, Flash Thompson, Mac Gargan, and even Dylan have all used the Venom symbiote primarily for destruction. It was only Peter Parker who used it to try and save lives in the purest way. That's ultimately why the Venom symbiote has decided to return to Peter, and it's also what makes Peter the ultimate host, and why him stealing it away from Eddie and Dylan is such a smart choice.

Neither Eddie nor Dylan should be Venom ever again.

Both Eddie and Dylan have perfect reasons for not wanting the other to be Venom. Eddie believes that if Dylan keeps the Venom symbiote, he'll bring about the Venom World, a horrific version of Earth that's become Venom, with the entire population of Earth trapped inside. Dylan believes that if Eddie becomes Venom again, he'll eventually become the next King in Black and massacre a future version of the Marvel Universe known as the Ninth Cosmos. Both of these point to the fact neither Eddie nor Dylan should be Venom ever again. But the one person who doesn't have a dark future waiting for him is Peter Parker.

Peter Brings Out The Best In Venom

Everyone wants the Venom symbiote, but the only good host is Peter Parker. While it's unlikely that Eddie is just going to roll over and let Peter keep the symbiote, he honestly seems like the best option. Both Eddie and Dylan have dark futures as Venom, but Peter doesn't. As long as Spider-Man is Marvel's new Venom, it seems like Venom will be in good hands and the world won't have to worry about being taken over by symbiotes, and the next universe won't have to worry about being destroyed by a mad King in Black.
