Black Clover Finally Fixes a Major Issue with the Manga's Final Arc

Summary New Black Clover chapters focus on exciting fights, fixing earlier issues of the final arc.

The final arc's battles in Black Clover are short but satisfying, showcasing unique fights.

Each Jump GIGA release of Black Clover could feature different battles to keep fans engaged.

The final arc of Black Clover shows no signs of concluding in the coming months, thanks to some exciting new manga chapters, and it shows signs of living up to the hype of the Spade Kingdom Raid Arc. The most popular arc in the series had multi-chapter duels between deadly forces, but it also included major redemption moments for the Black Bulls. However, the newest chapters of the final arc of Black Clover are finally living up to the Spade Kingdom Raid Arc's battles.

Black Clover began its final arc in 2022, and forty chapters later, fans must patiently await a steady but slow two-chapter feed from every seasonal release of the manga's new home, Jump GIGA. Still, the series boasts the signature attention to detail and beautiful magic battles for which Tabata's art is known, and this is undeniably a satisfying way to enjoy the final chapters.

Even if the series is not over for the next few months or years, Black Clover's jaw-dropping fights fix a long-standing issue since the Spade Kingdom Raid's conclusion, especially crucial for its final arc.

New Black Clover Chapters Fix the Lack of Exciting Fights

The Final Arc Lacked the Spark of the Spade Kingdom Raid Arc

While fans are forced to wait for an indeterminate amount of time before a new Black Clover season drops showing the Spade Kingdom Raid Arc, the consensus for the longest time was that the final arc hasn't hit the same heights. Still, even in the release of Black Clover chapters #372 and #373, the Black Bulls continue to get glorious moments, the latest being Noelle's fight against her mother, Acier, resurrected as one of Lucius' paladins. Perhaps the coolest aspect of this fight that fixes various issues with Black Clover's final chapters is that it still surprises readers.

The Noelle vs. Acier fight is certainly not the only one, with major battles teased between Asta and Yuno vs. Lucius and the Black Bulls fighting the paladins. While Noelle's fight makes Black Clover feel like Naruto in its parallels to the resurrected legends summoned in the Fourth Great Ninja War, the final arc's execution comes off more like the Thousand-Year Blood War in Bleach. Still, one prevailing issue remains, seen by Black Clover fans as an emerging trend in the final arc.

This can be seen as a gripe without much merit, but it still makes sense that Black Clover's final arc has short battles. This is hard to deny, with Noelle and Acier's key confrontation conclusively ending in the two latest chapters. While that includes a cathartic moment where the Silva family rallies behind her, fans won't always overlook this. Whether or not this is justified is another matter, but it's not unreasonable for longtime Black Clover readers to be so impressed that they crave more.

With the next battle focusing possibly on Yami & Ichika vs. a paladin Morgen, it's entirely possible that the confrontation only lasts two chapters. Still, the level of detail, magnificent paneling, and exciting debut moves seem to suggest that a hypothetical anime adaptation of Black Clover's last fights could each be single-episode swan songs like the execution of Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War. It's hard to overstate just how exciting the potential is for Black Clover's final arc, as additional characters will soon get their moments in the spotlight.
