How To Build Fast Travel Battle Bus Stations In LEGO Fortnite

LEGO Fortnite players can finally fast travel following a recent update that added the iconic Battle Bus and Battle Bus Stations to the game. Battle Bus Stations are new structures that players can build in the open world, allowing them to board the Battle Bus and fast travel from point to point in no time at all. However, building Battle Bus Stations requires some hard-to-find resources.

Since the update, players will find a new Battle Bus Station relatively close to their spawn point. This provides an easy access point to the new Battle Bus fast travel network and some locations, including nearby Rebel Village Outposts, will already be linked in. However, players may want to build their own in order to unlock fast travel to far-flung biomes and resource-rich areas.

How To Set Up New Fast Travel Nodes

Building a new Battle Bus Station in LEGO Fortnite requires the following materials:

Crafting Material Amount Required Gathering Method Iron Bars 4 Harvest raw Iron in caves in the Frostlands biome using an Epic Pickaxe.

Smelt it into Iron Bars at a Smelter. Malachite Slabs 2 Harvest Malachite nodes at mountain peaks in the Frostlands biome using an Epic Pickaxe

Process the Malachite into Malachite Slabs at a Stone Breaker. Frostpine 6 Cut down trees in the Frostlands using an Epic Forest Axe (this requires an upgraded Crafting Bench, Copper Bars and some of LEGO Fortnite's Knotroot Rods) Rift Shards 3 Find and destroy pre-built Battle Bus Stations in the open world.

Crafting an Epic Pickaxe requires Obsidian Slabs and Frostpine Rods. Obsidian can be found inside Lava Caves in the Dry Valley biome, the same place where players can also collect Blast Cores in LEGO Fortnite. Frostpine can be harvested from trees in the Frostlands.

Most of the necessary materials can be found in the Frostlands. This biome can be particularly dangerous for newcomers, as the freezing temperatures chip away at player HP and reduce movement speed.

To compensate, players will need to build Cold Resistance by eating spicy food and equipping charms and items to stay warm. Well-equipped players with upgraded harvesting tools shouldn't have much trouble finding what they need.

However, players will also need Rift Shards: a rare material obtained by destroying other pre-built Battle Bus Stations.

Harvest Pre-Built Fast Travel Nodes For Rift Shards

Following the update, players can also find pre-built Battle Bus Stations out in the open world by exploring. These Bus Stations won't always be in the most convenient locations, so they can be destroyed in order to obtain Rift Shards. However, destroying a Battle Bus Station requires an Epic Pickaxe.

By exploring the open world and destroying any unnecessary Battle Bus Stations, players can gather Rift Shards and other crafting materials in order to set up their own LEGO Fortnite fast travel network, with custom nodes in distant lands.

Players can then interact with the Battle Bus Station to summon the Battle Bus and jump on board to fly to new destinations. Once it arrives, players can thank the bus driver, jump from the Battle Bus and glide down to their destinations, exactly the way they would in any Fortnite match.
