Flanagan's Carrie is an upcoming TV show based on Stephen King's 1974 novel of the same name. The story of the novel follows Carrie, a bullied high school student who begins to suspect that she has supernatural powers. Flanagan has adapted several Stephen King novels in the past, which suggests he is the perfect director to adapt the story of Carrie in modern times. The novel has been adapted several times in the past, but Flanagan has promised his version of Carrie will be unique from the others.

It is currently unclear if Flanagan's Exorcist film will tell a similar story or be radically different, but there is already confidence in the project from Blumehouse

After The Exorcist: Believer was a critical failure, Blumhouse scrapped their plans for a trilogy and brought on Flanagan to write a new Exorcist movie. The first Exorcist film was released in 1973 and remains one of the best horror movies of all time. The first Exorcist movie follows a young girl who gets possessed by the demon Lamashtu. It is currently unclear if Flanagan's version will tell a similar story or be radically different, but there is already confidence in the project from Blumehouse, as its release date has been set for March 13, 2026.
