Stryfe has endured several rough losses against the X-Men in recent years. His constant attempts to seek revenge against the X-Men and mutantkind have proved to be fruitless endeavors time and time again. As often as Stryfe dies and then comes back to life, it’s not necessarily his return that’s surprising but rather his control over Deadpool and their connection to X-Cutioner. The term X-Cutioner is one that even Wolverine thought he’d never hear again. While X-Cutioner’s Song is one of Stryfe’s most well-known stories, this Deadpool comic is most likely referring to the character of the same name.

The original X-Cutioner is an anti-mutant extremist who employs the use of alien weaponry to seek revenge against and completely exterminate mutantkind. While the character turned a new leaf for a while, he currently sits as a member of Homines Verendi, an anti-mutant organization led by former leaders of the Hellfire Club. In addition to the complex arsenal of weaponry Wolverine and Deadpool uncovered in the X-Cutioner hideout, the bunker also held multiple samples of a new Legacy Virus and combat suits, seemingly for Cyclops and Jubilee. Whatever Stryfe is planning has taken a lot of effort to prepare.
Stryfe’s New Plans to Eradicate Mutantkind Are a Complex Conspiracy
Wolverine May Not Be Clever Enough to Solve it On His Own
The immediate theory is that through time-traveling shenanigans, Stryfe, and potentially the X-Cutioner, kidnapped a number of X-Men and had them implanted with artificial body parts. At the time of Stryfe’s return, he would activate the implants to release nanobots, granting him control over the heroes. With his greatest enemies now on his side, and equipped with alien tech and the Legacy Virus, the crumbling vestiges of modern mutantkind couldn’t stand against his destructive potential. If this is true then the X-Men have more to worry about than their impending civil war.
The clone of Cable is an untamed man whose sole purpose in life has devolved into wiping out all mutants.
With Stryfe’s return, mutantkind is at risk. The clone of Cable is an untamed man whose sole purpose in life has devolved into wiping out all mutants. Willing to cross any line necessary, and using time at his disposal, Stryfe’s complicated new plan may just be enough of a conspiracy to delay Wolverine until it’s too late. Back in action and without his metallic Wolverine-like helmet, Stryfe is another step closer to eradicating all mutants with Deadpool shockingly at his right hand.
