How do lab diamonds differ from natural diamonds?

The difference between natural and lab diamonds? There is virtually none. Lab diamonds are

chemically identical to natural diamond, and are also a 10 on the hardness scale. To the naked

eye there is no difference! Only a trained gemologist using highly specialized equipment can

identify the subtle differences in the growth pattern of a lab diamond. For the average person

think of it like an icicle that's frozen outdoors (natural) vs ice that's made in your freezer (lab).
