The Strongest Characters In Dragon Ball DAIMA, Ranked

The Strongest Characters In Dragon Ball DAIMA, Ranked

Dragon Ball DAIMA is the latest entry in the Dragon Ball franchise, and it comes with some of the most surprisingly strong characters in the series. While DAIMA was never really about the fights, it does have some great ones. Each of the strongest characters in the series has a few of their own great moments, showing off their exceptional skills in some of the best animation Dragon Ball has ever brought to the table.

Some of the strongest characters towards the end of Dragon Ball DAIMA were nowhere near as strong towards the beginning. The series offers a ton of great twists and turns that see otherwise weak characters gain massive amounts of power in little to no time at all. Both heroes and villains in the series make up the strongest characters, creating some great fights and some stand-out moments that make Dragon Ball the legendary series that it is.

8 Piccolo

The Namekian Is Still One Of The Series' Strongest

Close

Piccolo hasn't been the strongest character in Dragon Ball since the days of the original series, but he's never been too far behind the Saiyans, who usually take up the upper rankings. In Dragon Ball DAIMA, he isn't the number one strongest, but he's not too far behind. He's strong enough to be a useful force of good for the Z Fighters, helping them on several key occasions on their trip through the Demon Realm.

Piccolo even fights alongside Vegeta during a couple of cool moments. While he might not be the strongest Namekian in Dragon Ball, his strength shouldn't be taken for granted. During a fight against Gomah after the Demon King starts using the powers of the Evil Third Eye, Piccolo even uses his signature attack — the Special Beam Cannon.

Related Dragon Ball Daima Is Finally Ready to Address Piccolo's Biggest Missed Opportunity Though Dragon Ball Daima has hinted at the importance of Namekians, it rarely gives Piccolo a chance, but the upcoming finale may change that.

The Special Beam Cannon is responsible for Goku's first ever death in the franchise. It's strong enough to blow a hole clean through Goku and Raditz during Dragon Ball Z, and Piccolo has only gotten stronger since then. Watching Piccolo in Dragon Ball DAIMA is a treat, and getting to see more of his backstory as a Namekian was refreshing as well.

7 Shin (Nahare)

The Supreme Kai Is On The Same Level As Dabura

Close

It's always been hard to register just how strong the Supreme Kai, Shin, really is. He's not much of a fighter, acting as more of a guardian to the Z Fighters during much of the series. During Dragon Ball Z, it was said that the Supreme Kai was wary of former Demon King Dabura's powers. The series implied that they were on the same level, and that Dabura was about as strong as Cell was as well.

Using this information, The Supreme Kai is one of the strongest characters in Dragon Ball. In Dragon Ball DAIMA, however, there are still a few characters stronger than him. While Shin never went on to fight the Tamagamis himself, that was probably for the best. If he's about as strong as Dabura, and Dabura could never defeat any of the three protectors himself, Shin probably wouldn't have been able to pull it off either.

Still, The Supreme Kai is strong in his own right. Not only is he a strong fighter with plenty of powerful ki blasts sent towards Gomah during a great group fight, but he also has the ability to break Panzy's collar when they're in the Third Demon Realm, finally freeing her from the tyranny the Gendarmie put her and her people under.

6 The Tamagamis

The Tamagamis Are Equal In Strength (Without Neva's Help)

Close

The Tamagamis are another group of characters in Dragon Ball DAIMA that are hard to match up. They never fight each other, so it's hard to tell which is the strongest between the three of them. It's never implied that one is stronger than another. The only time one of the Tamagamis does stand out is when Vegeta fights Tamagami Number Two.

Related Dragon Ball Daima's New Villains Are Way Stronger Than We Expected Dragon Ball Daima episode #8 made a big reveal about the Tamagamis, and it sets them up as some of the strongest characters in all of Dragon Ball.

Tamagami Number Two was so strong that Vegeta was forced to use Super Saiyan 3 for the first time in the canon. It was an amazing moment and arguably one of Vegeta's best, but it wasn't thanks to the Tamagami alone. Neva, the creator of the Tamagamis, gave Tamagami Number Two an incredible power boost to give Vegeta the fight he was looking for.

Neva created the Tamagamis to protect the Demon Realm's Dragon Balls. Each of them was never defeated, so it's hard to say that any of them is stronger than another (without Neva's power boost, that is). Before Goku, Vegeta, and Majin Duu were around, they were undefeated. They're most likely the same in terms of strength, making each of them some of the strongest characters in Dragon Ball DAIMA.

5 Majin Duu

One Of The Funniest Characters In The Series

Close

Majin Duu perfectly represents why Dragon Ball DAIMA is the funniest entry in Dragon Ball. He's equally hilarious and strong, creating a wonderfully confusing character. Majin Duu is the second Majin that Arinsu created. When Majin Kuu wasn't strong enough to defeat the Tamagami Number One and get her the One-Star Dragon Board, she went back to Marba to create another.

Majin Duu was the result. He's the final Majin she created and stands out as one of the strongest characters in the series for a lot of the same reasons as Majin Buu. He's wild, unpredictable, and fights like no other character in the series. Majin Duu fights like a slinky would. He bounces around the battlefield, dipping and diving underneath enemy attacks before they can ever get close to him.

While Majin Duu is more than strong enough to handle himself, he often loses stamina and motivation in the middle of important fights. Luckily for Duu, his brother Kuu is there to throw him some tasty chocolate, giving him the energy he needs to keep going.

4 Vegeta

Super Saiyan 3 Vegeta Is One Of The Strongest Characters In The Franchise

Close

Vegeta is one of the coolest characters in anime. He has his flaws, but when he's at his best, there's almost nobody better than the Prince of all Saiyans. In Dragon Ball DAIMA, Vegeta isn't the single strongest character in the series, but he certainly comes close.

Not only is Vegeta involved in some of the best fights in the franchise, he has one of the greatest transformations as well in DAIMA. During a fight with Tamagami Number Two, Neva gives his creation a huge power boost. Tamagami Number Two then gets incredibly stronger, turning the tides on Vegeta and knocking him around with ease.

Related Forget Goku, Vegeta's Character Arc From Daima To Super Is Deeper Than Fans Think Dragon Ball Daima, and all of its many questions, might revolve around Goku, but the series actually captures Vegeta's growth perfectly.

Vegeta is forced to tap into a previously unseen power in the canon, transforming into Super Saiyan 3 Vegeta and dominating Tamagami Number Two. The fight is Vegeta at his best. He even fights with his arms folded across his chest, showing both his arrogance and his overwhelming self-belief in a single, defiant pose.

3 Goku

Goku's Super Saiyan 4 Is One Of The Best Parts Of Dragon Ball DAIMA

Close

Goku has almost always been the strongest character in Dragon Ball. Most of the time, he finds a villain stronger than he is. He then trains relentlessly, getting stronger in no time at all. In Dragon Ball DAIMA, Goku has to get stronger in the middle of a fight against Gomah after the Demon King takes full advantage of the powers of the Evil Third Eye.

While it is still unclear how Neva helped Goku, the Namekian was able to draw Goku's powers out as a Super Saiyan 4. Dragon Ball DAIMA finally brought one of the coolest forms in the entire franchise into the canon, showing off Goku with red fur, giant paw-like hands, and even his tail once again.

Goku's Super Saiyan 4 is absurdly strong. He's so powerful that one of his Kamehamehas not only put a hole in Gomah at the peak of his powers, but put three more holes through each of the Demon Realms. It was a blast so strong that he shook up multiple worlds at once, showing the true heights of Super Saiyan 4.

2 Evil Third Eye Gomah

The Evil Third Eye Made Gomah Untouchable

Close

Gomah was never strong in Dragon Ball DAIMA. He was a relatively intelligent character, but nowhere near as smart as the most intelligent characters in Dragon Ball. Everything changed when he finally got the Tertian Oculus — The Evil Third Eye. The Evil Third Eye is a powerful artifact that Gomah was searching for throughout the series, and when he found it, he showed why it was so sought after.

The Evil Third Eye made Gomah the strongest character in Dragon Ball DAIMA who had an interest in fighting. Not only did it grant him access to a variety of powerful abilities, but it made him nearly invincible. Gomah still took damage with the Evil Third Eye installed in his head, but instead of dying, the artifact just healed him.

Goku's Super Saiyan 4 Kamehameha that put a hole in Gomah and the rest of the Demon Realms still wasn't enough to take Gomah down. If it wasn't for Majin Kuu's quick thinking, there's no telling how much longer Gomah would have reigned as the latest Demon King.

1 Demon Realm Porunga

This Form Of Porunga Might Be The First Dragon In Existence

Close

Porunga is the Dragon that comes from the Namekian Dragon Balls. The Dragon of the Demon Realm's Dragon Balls look a lot like Porunga, except for a few key differences. The Demon Realm's Porunga is red instead of the Namekian Porunga's green and is much larger as well. The first ever Dragon in Dragon Ball is Super Shenron, the Dragon behind the Super Dragon Balls. He was created by the Dragon God, Zalama.

All the other Dragon Balls are created by Namekians, however. Neva created the Demon Realm Dragon Balls, so Demon Realm Porunga might be one of the original Dragons in the franchise. The Dragons in Dragon Ball are some of the strongest characters in the series due to their ability to grant almost any wish.

Related Dragon Ball Daima's Finale Sparks the Greatest Challenge Yet for Dragon Ball Super Dragon Ball Super's artist Toyotarou deserves the honor of addressing the many inconsistencies presented in Dragon Ball DAIMA.

Demon Realm Porunga actually shows off his strength in the series when Gomah, equipped with the Evil Third Eye, attacks him in an attempt to stop Glorio's wish from being fulfilled. At this point in DAIMA, Gomah was untouchable. Even Super Saiyan 3 Vegeta could barely keep up with him. To Demon Realm Porunga, however, Gomah was nothing. He flicked him away without any effort, sending Gomah straight into the ground like he was a fly.
