What Happened To Conquest's Right Arm In Invincible

What Happened To Conquest's Right Arm In Invincible

Warning: Contains SPOILERS for Invincible season 3, episode 8!

Conquest has a cybernetic right arm during his appearance in Invincible season 3, and here is how he got it ahead of his fight with Mark Grayson. Although he doesn't appear until the very end of Invincible season 3, episode 7, the Viltrumite Conquest is the biggest threat that Invincible faces in the show's third season. Mark Grayson barely makes it out of his fight with Conquest alive, and it is possible that the superhero only survived Invincible season 3's ending thanks to Conquest's right arm.

Invincible season 3 has come to a close, with Mark taking on two back-to-back threats during the season's ending. First, Mark had to deal with the Invincible War, in which Angstrom Levy unleashed an army of evil Invincibles onto Mark's home world. After battling the evil Invincibles for multiple days, Conquest appeared, with him acting as a representative of the Viltrum Empire. Almost nothing was revealed about Conquest before his fight with Mark, although the comics have filled in his backstory a bit.

Conquest has been through a lot before the events of Invincible season 3, something that the show will probably touch on later. The Scourge Virus that wiped out the Viltrum Empire also infected Conquest. Conquest survived the infection, although he was weakened. While in his weakened state, Conquest found himself facing off against the Rognarr. The Rognarr are an alien race from a home planet that has incredibly strong gravity, making the Rognarr strong enough to kill Viltrumites.

Although Conquest escaped the Rognarr alive, he wasn't unscathed. Conquest lost his right arm, became blind in one eye, and was left with a permanently scarred face. Although Conquest's scars and bad eye are still visible, he replaced his missing arm with a cybernetic one at some point, with him wearing it up until his fight with Mark Grayson.

Meaning He May Have Lost The Fight

Conquest's cybernetic arm is actually the weaker of the two, with it being possible that Mark would have lost the fight if Conquest had two arms. During Mark and Conquest's fight, Mark manages to punch through Conquest's cybernetic arm, destroying it. This left Conquest with only one good arm, giving Mark a massive leg up during the fight.

If Conquest had both his arms, Mark probably wouldn't have been able to punch through his right one. This could have completely turned the tide of the battle, allowing Conquest to win the fight. While it is impossible to say, Conquest's fight against the Rognarr may have led to his loss in Invincible season 3.
